Our History

Our President, Jim Reeb, worked as an Army civil servant providing computer engineering support primarily for Aviation and Missile systems. In 1998, Jim transitioned from his government position to his new role as a government contractor where he served as a Program Manager for a contract which provided the government with software engineering services.

In October 2005, Jim started PPT Solutions, Inc. with the following mission in mind: Provide the best people, processes, and technology to customers – ensuring all elements are working together to achieve optimum performance.

PPT’s first contract was for the Department of Defense (DoD). The company worked to improve a Redstone Arsenal organization’s software development processes and provide support for their metrics program as part of a Capability Maturity Model initiative. Over time, PPT extended its services to offer software verification and validation, software/quality assurance, real-time embedded software engineering lifecycle development, and software safety analysis. These additional capabilities allowed PPT to offer a wider range of services to the DoD while also opening the door to serve a much broader customer base, including commercial aerospace organizations. Additionally, PPT grew in the area of Information Systems Management (ISM) and was able to acquire ISM work with a new customer – the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Also, PPT expanded its customer base to include the Program Executive Office (PEO) for Aviation and NASA’s Marshal Space Flight Center (MSFC) through our Systems/Software Integrity services.

PPT is organized around its four (4) core capabilities:

PPT continues to grow in the areas of system software safety, business intelligence, and mobile applications development.

As a result of PPT’s commitment to achieve optimum performance for our Customers, our Employees, and our Community we have experienced steadfast growth in terms of annual revenue and staff size since inception.
